Born in the Blue Ridge Mountains, David Coffey began playing bluegrass music as a young boy. He is a versatile musician, playing the guitar, dobro, mandolin, piano, banjo, and bass. Flatpicking Guitar Magazine calls Coffey, "a talented singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist". David is not new to the music world, he has toured with the gospel quartet, The Crestman, and with Lew Dewitt (formerly of the Statler Brothers). Recently, David formed his own band, Virginia Blend. They have produced two albums to date, In His Image and the newly released, Coffey Break.
